Some of the latest projects I have been working on over the last few months are now on view in the New Paintings album on the Works page. These include a series of Bluebell Woods, mostly painted in the Great Wood at Lanhydrock, where I can still venture with my mobility scooter. There are a couple of paintings of a Lavender farm in Devon – not your usual Lavender in Provence type painting but instead under English grey skies. I have also really enjoyed painting aspects of Port Isaac, Tintagel and the cliffs at Bossiney by Rocky Valley.

I have just uploaded my new series of Boscastle Harbour paintings. Most concentrate on the wonderful winter sun lighting up the hillside in glorious harmonies of gold, reflecting in the water within the harbour at low tide. The patches of sand and seaweed also revealed at low tide make interesting horizontal accents to break up the reflections. My Misty Morning painting is an exploration of rich harmonies in hot oranges and reds softened with mauves and bright cobalt blues in the shadows.
